Kevin is in the small but elite club of being the drummer and lead vocalist. As well as being the heartbeat of the band, Kevin is also the longest serving member of The Fourmost, with over two decades of service… There must be a medal available somewhere!
Over the years, Kevin has played alongside, and backed, some of the biggest names in the business from the 1960s:
Mike Pender of The Searchers, Dave Berry, Tony Crane & Billy Kinsley, Marty Wild, Jet Harris (Shadows), Chris Farlowe, Mike d'Arbo and Wayne Fontana to name but a few.
Kevin has been drumming and singing since the early sixties and has never stopped working, touring extensively ever since and shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. Never has the expression “A Seasoned Pro” been more applicable!
Matthew is the newest member to join the ranks of the Fourmost, and one that brings a wealth of experience.
Matthew has a great passion for 1960s music and is a highly sought after singer and performer for many sixties tribute bands and makes regular appearances at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool. It was good of the council to name the street after him!
Our Matthew is also a multi award winning musician and has performed several times on television to boot!
Matt also writes original compositions for his band “Nine Violets” who have performed at various prestigious events in Spain and California.
Lee is a fully certified member of the Bass Players Union having taken up the four stringed workhorse at a very early age (Although he does play a mean bit of Lead Guitar, every now and then!). He is also on vocal duties, adding harmonies and occasional Lead Vocal, so essential to the sound of The Fourmost. Being a much sought after bass player and a true professional, Lee has played in many bands over the years, covering his native North-West to all over the UK and beyond.
As well as his musicianship, Lee is an accomplished sound engineer. The Fourmost and lots of other acts in the industry have benefitted greatly from his experienced ear. Wearing either hat, Lee has had the pleasure of working with all the BIG names on the sixties music circuit, not surprising really given his knowledge, attitude, passion and his ability to capture the true essence of the Swinging Sixties.
Des is a formidable guitarist and pedal steel player, his prodigious talent spanning many genres over the last four decades.
Having spent his early years cutting his teeth in jazz and dance bands with the likes of Humphrey Lyttleton, the emerging UK country music scene came next for Des. This was to prove a fruitful time for Des and his skill was recognised and utilised by many country music legends including: Tammy Wynette, Gene Watson, Larry Gatlin, Moe Brandy and Johnny Rodriguez, inviting Des to play on their recordings. It was during this period, which spanned the Eighties and Nineties, Des was twice voted “Country Musician Of The Year” at the prestigious UK Country Music Awards.
The Millennium arrived with a fanfare and so did the UK's leading Eagles tribute band, Talon. Who could create such a well known, well loved facsimile of the Eagles intricate guitar arrangements but our Des. The project was a great success and Des enjoyed many years touring the UK & Ireland with Talon, to fantastic reviews.
